Weekend Workshop

27 – 28 April 202410.00–16.30

Design your own blue plaque to celebrate someone wonderful in Tyneside!

Blue Plaques are used to celebrate figures of outstanding achievements. They are often installed on public buildings marking a link between a location and a person.

We want to celebrate the wonderful people living in Tyneside- learn how to make a Blue Plaque celebrating someone of something special.

These can go up in your home or be displayed here to mark your visit to the Farrell Centre!

What to expect form our Weekend Activities

Our Weekend Activities are free, drop-in and suitable for all to get involved in. We will explore themes relating to the Built Environment through innovative makes and challenges.

Expect:

Hands-on Making: experiment with new materials and get creative

Collaborative Working:  contribute your make to our Urban Room displays… or take it home with you!
