Saturday 8 November 202514.00 – 15.30
Take part in design and build challenges and meet other gamers at the Farrell Centre’s own Minecraft club.
This regular club will explore the potential of Minecraft as a tool to understand Architecture, Design and City Planning. Farrell Centre staff will set Minecraft design and build challenges for participants and offer a space for gamers and their parents to come together and share the worlds they have created. This programme was developed in collaboration with a group of primary school children.
8th November – Local Landmarks
Be inspired by the wonderful mix of architecture in our city and wider region! From Antony Gormley’s Angel of the North, to our iconic bridges over the Tyne, we will explore how we can redesign these archetypal structures in Minecraft. You may even create your own new landmark!
