Urban Explorers: Peterlee

Saturday 13 June10:30–12:30

Explore the merging of art and architecture in this walking tour led by artist and photographer Euan Lynn.

Peterlee is a fascinating example of mid century modernisation of town centres. Having been designated a New Town in 1948, Peterlee quickly evolved with new housing estates, raised walkways and the iconic Apollo Pavilion designed by Victor Pasmore.

In this guided walk, Euan Lynn will provide unique insights and historical context to Peterlee’s past and present, as well as offering some practical photographic advice to help you document the experience – whether you’re using an iPhone or film.
