Discover some of the North East’s great modernist gems with artist and photographer Euan Lynn on this tour of Killingworth.
Killingworth New Town is home to some of the finest modernist architecture in the North East. From the offices of pioneering architects FaulknerBrowns and Ryder & Yates, to Ralph Erskine’s first work in the North East, and even a flock of concrete hippos, Killingworth truly has everything a modernist could wish for.
In this guided walk, Euan Lynn will provide unique insights and historical context to Killingworth’s past and present, as well as offering some practical photographic advice to help you document the experience – whether you’re using an iPhone or film.
