Map Your World

Make maps of your worlds in this Summer Holiday Workshop.

Maps are not simply about helping you get from point A to B. They are also about power and control. Maps bring worlds into being, prioritising certain places over others.

In this summer holiday workshop, we say goodbye to the traditional maps of Tyneside and map the worlds which are important to you, signposting your favourite places and spaces, from your local park to the virtual worlds you inhabit in video games. Expect drawing, making and lots of discussion.

This session is facilitated by the Farrell Centre team and is inspired by the current display Concretopias and Beyond.

Important information

• This workshop is suited to children ages 7+
• Summer workshops are free but booking is recommended to secure a place
• Please note you only need to book a place for your child but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the workshop.
