Join oral historian Silvie Fisch for an afternoon exploring artefacts from the Byker Living Archive.
As part of Fight for Byker and Other Stories, these sessions will provide unique access to original photographs, plans and documents relating to the Byker redevelopment. Silvie will share her research and reflect on her experience and plans for the Byker Living Archive. Participants are most welcome to share their own stories or images of Byker in these sessions.
What to expect:
Unique Access – handle original artefacts relating to Byker, pre and post development.
Firsthand accounts– hear from oral historian and local resident Silvie Fisch about her research into Byker’s history.
Space to share– contribute your own stories and memories of Byker and find out more about the future of the Living Archive.
