Ideal City: Opening Reception

Join us for a celebration of the launch of our Ideal City project.

We invite you to a special late opening celebrating the launch of our new project, which explores what each of us most values about where we live, what we would like to change and what we should be aspiring to. What, in short, is an ideal city, who gets to decide, and how can we make a city that works for everyone?

During the evening, there will be an opportunity to visit the three exhibitions that form the basis of the project: Keep on the Grass – an exhibition inviting you to think about the role of signs in public spaces; Spaces for Nature – how urban brownfield sites can become vital, participatory spaces of more-than-human co-habitation; and Creative Central NCL – proposals by students from Newcastle and Northumbria Universities for fostering creativity in the heart of Newcastle city centre.

You can expect unique insights from our curators, and a drinks reception.
