Urban Explorers: Civic Centre

Explore sites from Newcastle Modernist past and present during this programme of walking tours led by photographer Euan Lynn.

In response to our exhibition Concrete Dreams, Photographer, and modernist expert Euan Lynn has developed a series of walks exploring the lost heritage of the Brasilia of the North.

In these guided walks, Euan will provide unique insights and historical context to Newcastle’s modernist history, as well as practical photographic advice to help you document this experience. From iPhone to Film photography, Euan has experience with a wide range of photographic techniques, bring your preferred camera along and have a go.

For this special walk, Euan will be joined by the Civic Centre Carillon player, Jon, providing unique access the Civic Centre’s bell tower. Join us for a unique vantage on the city and beside the scenes access to Newcastle’s most iconic building.
